Hi, and welcome back for anyone still checking my blog. It's been a while since my last update and no, I did not abandon my page. This has been a hectic but very good couple of weeks. I am home for two days after my first hitch in Galena working a helicopter fire contract for the Alaska Fire Service. My satellite internet as not been set up yet, so I have been off line for quite a while.

This is going to be a good summer. My helicopter is flying well. I have a good pilot, a young lady on her first trip to the Alaska bush as a professional pilot. I'm working for a good company that is doing everything it can to support this machine out in the wilds of our state. 

 

I am heading back out on Tuesday and hopefully, my satellite will be set up next week. I will then be back to posting as events happen. For now, please enjoy some pictures of my summer home in Galena, Alaska. This is the real Alaska...not reality TV.
