Finally…I’m Back!

It’s been a long drought.  All of my internet based work had been put on the back burner.  I am now entrenched in Galena Alaska!  Internet is up and running and I have some writing to do.  Bear with me; I’m sure that everything will be a complete jumble for the next several days, trying to get out everything that has happened since I was last here!

First off, it is good to finally be working again!  That is one heck of a feeling when you go through an unemployment stretch this long.  I’m mid 50’s now and have held a steady job since I was about 14 years old.  I never had problems finding work…until the Affordable Care Act became law.  Everything changed.  Not just for me but for people in my age bracket over our entire land.  My wife and I lost a lot, I went through my midlife crisis, she should have left me several times, but we made it.  Not only did we make it to the end of the tunnel but I learned.  I learned about life, myself, and what is really important.  I hope I never have to go through a stretch like that again but looking back, I am glad it happened.  I think (at least I hope) I am a better person now than I was then.

I’m not going to make this a long winded welcome back speech, but I wanted everyone to know that Arctic Artique is alive and well.  Kitty is still down but she’s not out yet.  I am going to be posting daily again.  Stop in and see what life in the real Alaska is.  Where I am currently living and working is village.  This is not LL Bean tourist Alaska.  This is real life.  Enjoy and maybe learn something along with me!

Before I end this I will say that I have finally been forced into the smart phone world.  My work phone is much more intelligent than I.  I have pictures of our latest project on it that I cannot figure out yet, how to get onto my laptop to show you.  Hopefully tomorrow I can show you a genuine Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse sun gazebo. It is very cool, in another month when all of the different colors start growing in it will be awesome, and…as always it is trash.  Check back tomorrow.  I think you will like it!  Since, I can’t seem to pull these pictures up yet, enjoy a couple of stock photos from my new employer…Aerotech, LLC.
