Raven Tricks The Moon

 

Welcome back for my update on our current projects! Potlatch is over, Kitty is home and has taken a much needed rest. She was worn out. Losing a loved one has a tendency to do that to a person.

This is her current project. 'Raven Tricks The Moon'. Her favorite medium as of late has been lighting. Farewell and Yesterday's World turned out better than we could have hoped for. She had previously found an old table lamp and the idea for this story light hit her almost immediately. The retelling of this old Yupik story is now being done as only Kitty Wolf can do. I can't give away too much, so be sure to check back in to see just how these old pieces begin to come to life. Rave the Raven is supervising from the top of the shade as usual.

My project is coming along nicely. My first attempt at a half lap chest is looking better all of the time. As you can see, the frames have had their panels added, two different stains were used, and the chest has been assembled. Yeah, there are a couple of mistakes in there. That is the nice thing about this kind of project. I just work around them, blend them in and continue on.

This project will be set aside for a few days so I can help Kitty and work on some other small items that have to be done. I already see the top in my head for this beauty. It is going to be cool!
