Fun
in the Shop Today
Kitty
is still with her aunt. I finished my facebook listings with no
bites yet, so I got to work in the shop for a bit. I hope we are
able to make this a long term endeavor as I really love going to work
now. We have a gathering to go to this evening so I figured I'd
better show some progress while I have the chance.
Yesterday,
I cut my dado's and first fit sides and ends together. Today I took
my measurements and built the bottom panel to fit. I also did a
little work at the router table and cut the recesses for the oak ply
panels that will offset the frame. The oak is left over from a
project I completed during the fall. This is starting to come
together quite nicely!
When
I used to watch videos on Youtube, I always wanted to try these
things I'm doing now but was a bit fearful of them. This is just to
let anyone that might feel the same way I did that it all just takes
practice. Believe me, if I can learn to do this anyone can.
Gotta
go for today. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Tomorrow I hope to
have my panels cut and fitted so I can start the monotonous step of
sanding, sanding, sanding.
