Crazy
Days Ahead
As
If Things Were Not Crazy Enough Already!
Well,
today is it. After many delays, Kittie's uncle will be laid to rest
today. The little girl inside is the one being strong for everyone.
It has been a crazy week for everyone involved. Again, I do not envy
what my wife is going through right now.
As
soon as we get this finished up, the boss has decided and I, second
in command agree that Arctic Artique has several projects that need
to be finished now. I'll show you where we are at and what the
different projects are while we're here.
Kitty
can't do a lot of the physical work so I am going to be her hands.
She sees the vision, feeds it to me and we start building. We have
started to gel as a team doing this, so this could be fun.
Several
projects are going to be completed with a flurry of activity here
over the next week or so. We plan to work on all projects over this
time and see if we can get them out the door, tastefully, by the
first of the month.
Here
are some of the things we will be finishing up. Most are Kitties
Kreations. But there are a couple that are mine. See if you guess
which ones.
A
couple of old wreaths and thrown away lamp parts. My, what could
this be?
Next
is an old broken table that Kitty finally persuaded me to pull out of
a dumpster a few years ago. The first bigger art piece Kitty got me
to work on. She was basically guiding a clutz into her world of art
and let me have fun. We haven't worked on this one for a couple of
years but she just decided it is not finished.
The
light box is next. I can't give any secrets away on this one yet. I
will tell you it is Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse. Stick around and see
what it becomes.
Right
next to the light box is a hand made wooden trunk. My first. I
thought I was finished, but the boss has better plans for it. This
will be a very nice one of a kind chest.
Sitting
together in Kittie's studio are Kat Konspiracy (one can only wonder)
and the skeleton of another trunk or coffee table. I haven't
decided which yet. This trunk is completely free form based on a
cool video I watched a couple of years ago. Thanks Jay Bates!
Next
is 'Envy'. Two old school wood entry doors have been kept together
in a unique fashion and are long from being finished. This one of a
kind hall tree will have you green with 'Envy' when complete. There is a story
behind the name of this but that will come later. This one will take a while longer as I have to wait for the weather to warm to strip it!
I
got tired and needed somewhere to sit. I didn't have a chair, just
and old bedframe and a busted up bench that was missing half of it's
wood. That is one solid chair.
Stay
with us. Keep checking back. I plan to make nightly postings of our
progress. Watch as Arctic Artique turns the dreams of Kitty Wolf's
mind into reality. This should be fun!
