While Kittie's Away
                                                       I Get To Play

This looks to already be my first update since showing all of our projects to complete. Miss Kitty, as she is also known, is still at potlatch. Potlatch is a tradition for Celebration of Life. She may be there all night, so I took some time down in the shop.

I bought a table saw a few years ago and have slowly been learning how to use it. I've progressed since I began and it looks like this is going to be my most intricate work to date. It's tough, but it's gonna be worth it!

I had previously cut my half lap joints, glued each side together, and squared all four pieces. Tonight I saw how I wanted to put the sides together. I ran dado's down both sides of the end pieces with a ½ inch overhang. Then I cut my slot on the bottom of all four pieces to fit in the bottom panel later. I'll make it to fit. The pieces are all cut, just have to tweek a few things and glue it up. This is all reclaimed wood so far, by the way.

You know, this is getting fun already. Sitting back, writing about what I just did, and listening to Zeppelin on vinyl. Everyone should have Led Zep II in their collection.

Anyway, I've got some great ideas for this wooden jewel. It may take a while so stick around!
