Progress
is being made at Musher's Cafe, a small restaurant in Fairbanks
designed to teach adults with learning challenges to not only survive
in our world, but to also thrive in our world. Bill and Tom are
frantically cutting, fitting, and recutting and refitting to make
things just right before opening. Kitty Wolf, also known as Art
Chick Groupie has been volunteering her time to make this unique
eatery as beautiful as possible while following the mushing theme.
She
just finished beautifying the rear entrance, taking a very plain
glass door and giving it an awesome stained glass look. I was chief
grunt and flunky! She is the artist in the family. Not only does it
give a unique and colorful look to the rear entrance to the cafe,
onlookers from the adjoining hallway in this large building can
admire her handiwork as they pass by.
There
is more to come from Kitty as the large windows are next on her
project list. I can't tell you what she is going to create but let's
just say that everyone will know that Mushers Cafe has come to town.
Thank
you Bill for trusting Kitty enough to let her use her talent and
unique skills to help!
