Hi
guys and gals! My break from blogging is over. My end of winter
panic is done. I'm back!
Back
in Missouri there was a saying that if you don't like the weather,
give it a minute to change. In Alaska, the same can be said about the
seasons. We are close to break-up here. The days are getting longer,
the temperature is raising, and the snow is beginning to melt.
I
have gone from deep winter straight to summer. I got the call a few
days back to get my helicopter ready for summer. I was going to New
Mexico on the 3rd. That all changed about an hour ago. I
now have three days and then I leave. My summer arrived overnight.
When
the helicopter is ready, I'm going to fly with it from New Mexico to
Alaska, going through Canada. I'll be sure to take pictures!
Check
these out. I've been practicing my frames. This is about third or
fourth generation now. Now, I understand what turns art into fine
art.
These
frames are all solid wood and were cut from used pallets. I shaped
and fit everything, and finally figured out how to make a fitting
housing for beautiful works.
After
I couldn't sell the mushing print, Kitty got me to set down and
critique my work. I screwed up royally. The work was sub-par and I
ruined a really nice print. I didn't give up though. I learned from
my mistakes and these are the result.
I'm
happy with them!
