Simple Yet Elegant

I had been waiting for a better day for pictures of these two small whimsies. More sun equals better sparkle. These two treasures are going way today as gifts to a friend so here they are, ready or not.

Jack is an autistic friend of ours that we are about to see be condemned to the medicaid group home system. He wants to be on his own, but the powers that be that have decided it is in his best interests to be put into a home. Unfortunately, we have seen this time and again. If it was truly in his best interests we would agree with this decision. However, this is more about money and not having to work for the client.

The purple heart is for Jack. He has earned it. The red rose is for his girl friend. She likes roses.

All pieces of these two whimsies are recycled cast offs. It is just amazing what we as a society throw away these days. It's no wonder that in two years there will be more plastic than fish in our seas. At some point in time, we have to stop kicking the can down the road and solve our problem of a throw away society before it overwhelms us. It may be too late already.
