My Christmas

What a day! I am beat. Whooped. Just plain wore out! It is a very good feeling. I woke early and started moving around the cabin. Coffee was ready by the time Kitty was up. It was nice. We had Chocolate Macadamia nut coffee with Hershey's Chocolate creamer. Early morning taste sensation. Breakfast was next. Home fry potatoes with spicy sausage, onion, eggs, cheese, and too many spices to mention, all cooked together in a very old, very heavy #10 Wagner cast iron skillet. If you don't cook with cast iron, you are missing out on flavors that just can't be matched by other metals. Plus, you get your daily dose of iron. As we sat and ate, I surprised Kitty with her present. Today,I was going back to the studio/kitchen/pantry/general storage, start cleaning and not finish until I was able to get the hall tree inside as it is the next big project for Arctic Artique. In case you are wondering what Arctic Artique is, let me educate you as to this very unique corner of the world as I see it. Consisting of olde worlde visionary Mrs. Kitty Wolf Thompson and her trusty but annoying sidekick and husband Scott (that's me!), ordinary pieces of history that have been discarded transform into highly intricate and ornate one of a kind works of art. Arctic Artique believes in the concept of
RECYCLE, REPURPOSE, REUSE
to try and help our planet if only a little.
Anyway, now that the plug is over I tore this space apart! I emptied shelves. I condensed boxes. I cleared counters. I scrubbed. I organized. I played music. I kicked back. I had fun. I met my goal. I moved in a very large hall tree with bench. Stick around. You'll want to see this when it's done! By the way, to any shrinks reading to analyze this, I know I went narcissistic with all of the I's. Who cares, it was fun to write! The room looked awesome and I had a serious chocolate sugar buzz going. While cleaning in the kitchen cabin, chocolate was melting in a copper pot in the main cabin. We fondued for Christmas. Chocolate covered bananas, chocolate covered 'Nilla Wafers, pretzels, and cashew clusters. Why cashews and not peanuts you ask? Simple, a lot of it has to do with taste. The big reason though is Autism. Did you know that research has shown there is an oil missing from the fluids that surrounds the brain in autistics. I'm an Aspie by the way. That missing oil is contained in the oil of the cashew. I believe it. Since I started eating one or two handfuls of cashews every day, my moods have been much better and more even. I have noticed that if I miss a couple of days now, my brain will start craving cashews. They work. After that, I had only one more task. Pumpkin bread! Never made one before but looks to have turned out pretty good.

This was my Christmas. Not conventional at all, but highly enjoyable none the less. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read about me. There's much more to come. Seems this is my life now! Not bad.
